Mercedes SLK230 Replacement Crank Position Sensor Information
The SLK230 crank position sensor by Mercedes is used to monitor the position of the crankshaft. Your ECU will then use this information to help control the ignition timing as well as a variety of other engine parameters. Because of the sensor, the distributor does not have to be manually adjusted for any timing issues - which was the case prior to such as sensor being created.
