Scion xA Replacement Cold Air Intake Information
The Scion xA was a subcompact hatchback that was produced from 2004 until 2006. This car uses a strong 1.5 liter engine that puts out 108 horsepower. Many drivers that are looking for a bit of extra performance choose to add a cold air intake system to their cars. The Scion xA can have a cold air intake system installed with the goal of increasing horsepower and acceleration. A cold air intake system is made of a conical filter and metal pipes. Normal air systems use smaller filters that do not have as much surface area as the cold air intake filters. The pipes used in these systems have a larger diameter than the stock air tubes on the Scion xA. A properly installed cold air intake system tends to yield up to ten extra horsepower for the engine.
