Mazda Protege Replacement Cold Air Intake Information

Made with hard plastic, rubber or other non-heat conducting material, the Protege Mazda cold air intake takes engine performance to a whole another level. Designed to replace the intake manifold, the cold air intake for the Mazda Protege is wider to take in more cool air. Cooler air rocks more oxygen molecules, which are denser and creates a more efficiently burning combustion process. This results in lowered byproduct emissions such as nitrous oxide while boosting horsepower and fuel mileage.

Replacing the intake manifold with this aftermarket addition, owners must be careful to install the Protege Mazda cold air intake properly. Otherwise, the part hangs too close to the ground, sucking up water instead of air. That harms engine performance. It's all good, however, for the Mazda Protege, a popular compact family car made from 1963 to 2003. The cold air intake improves performance and should be maintained for peak vehicle operation.

They are available for the following Mazda Protege years: 2003, 2002, 2001, 03, 02, 01. This part is also sometimes called Mazda Protege Intakes. We stock cold air intake parts for most Mazda models including Miata, 6, 3, Protege5, B3000, RX8, RX7, B2300, B2500, 5, B4000 and MX6.

We stock these Cold Air Intake brands for the Mazda Protege: K&N.
