BMW 318ti Replacement Cold Air Intake Information
An aftermarket addition, the 318ti cold air intake takes the place of the intake manifold to improve engine performance. The 318ti cold air intake is wider than the intake manifold and fits snugly into the same engine entry port. By increasing the amount of cooler air entering the engine, the part increases engine efficiency. Cooler air produces a denser charge enabling the engine to produce more horsepower while also improving gas mileage.
An already powerful engine just gets better with the 318ti cold air intake. However, owners need to be certain to use only custom fitted parts. Putting in the wrong model may result in the part hanging too low to the ground, sucking up water that would ruin engine operation. The BMW 318ti is a stylish compact car built from 1993 to 2000.
