Triumph Spitfire Replacement Clutch Master Cylinder Information
Are you having braking problems? Have you checked the clutch master cylinder lately? This hydraulic pump is connected to the clutch through hoses. It provides hydraulic pressure into the system to engage the clutch. When the clutch pedal is lowered, the hydraulic fluid becomes pressurized. This device is located under the hood of your car.
The clutch master cylinder is the heart of the braking system. Like other internal parts, it will eventually wear out and lose its ability to disengage the clutch. It is recommended to check the clutch fluid level regularly to prevent this problem. If the clutch master cylinder fails, you will feel that the pedal has lost some of its normal resistance. Other signs of damage include difficulty shifting gears, pedal stuck to the floor, and low transmission fluid. You may also hear a loud noise when holding down the clutch pedal.
