Subaru Legacy Replacement Clutch Master Cylinder Information

If a vehicle's Subaru Legacy Clutch Master Cylinder should fail, no pressure will be generated when you push on the clutch pedal and it might be hard to change gears. Because of the hydraulic force, only a slight motion in a Clutch Master Cylinder can result in a great deal of force in the clutch disc slave cylinder. When the clutch pedal on your car is pushed down, it causes the Clutch Master Cylinder to activate the slave cylinder, disengaging the clutch. A failing Clutch Master Cylinder has the potential to weaken your ability to depress the clutch, creating a safety hazard.
