BMW 635CSi Replacement Clutch Information
Real BMW vehicles include a package of lavish design plus excellent operation. You selected your high-performance vehicle because it had high-end power and performance, support that investment by buying outstanding aftermarket parts. Bestselling carmakers know the vital importance of high performance. A functional BMW 635CSi Clutch switches gears by using the engine's flywheel and a clutch plate; when the clutch pedal is depressed, the flywheel and clutch plate separate, disengaging the engine from the wheels and allowing the engine to spin without moving the vehicle. Although a vehicle clutch is a resilient part, after 75,000 miles or so the friction-bearing elements can stop functioning and need a new part. In vehicles with an automatic transmission, the Clutch is built into your transmission system, but stick shifts call for the motorist to operate a clutch themselves, normally by using the pedal near your brake pedal. The Clutch is an integral element within the vehicle's transmission permitting your current gear to be released from your car's driveshaft so that an additional larger or smaller gear to be used. Clutches permit the vehicle's transmission to switch gears by temporarily uncoupling the vehicle's transmission from its engine.
