Audi 100 Replacement Catalytic Converter Information
Your Audi 100's catalytic converter is part of your vehicle's emissions system. The Federal Clean Air Act mandates that every new car sold in the United States since 1975 must have one as part of a nationwide effort to eliminate air pollution. PartsGeek.com sells replacement catalytic converters for your Audi 100.
Catalytic converters contain metals that interact with gaseous byproducts of internal combustion such as carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides and toxic hydrocarbons. These metals are typically some combination of platinum, palladium or rhodium. The combination of these metals in your Audi's catalytic converter work to reduce the poisonous gases into less harmful carbon dioxide, nitrogen and water.
