Volvo S70 Replacement Camshaft Position Sensor Information

The computer uses information from the Volvo S70 Camshaft Position Sensor to regulate the precise timing of the engine and if it stops working, the engine may not run. The electronic control unit reads data from the Camshaft Position Sensor which tells it how fast the camshaft is turning and what position it is in while the engine is operating. Though complete failure rarely occurs, an old Camshaft Position Sensor can cause problems that might affect your vehicle's gas mileage. In a car or truck's engine, the orientation of the exhaust valves is regulated by the vehicle's Camshaft Position Sensor.
