Mercedes S55 AMG Replacement Blower Motor Information
The blower motor of your Mercedes S55 AMG is a critical component of your vehicle's climate control system. This motor controls the fan which moves air into the cabin of your S55 AMG. When you are running the air conditioning to cool your S55 AMG, the fan pulls air over the air conditioning evaporator, cooling the air down. In the late fall and winter months, the fan powered by the blower motor moves the air over the heater core, making the cabin of your Mercedes S55 AMG toasty. Once the blower motor gives out, you will have to rely on rolling down the windows to cool your vehicle's cabin in summer.
The blower motor speed is controlled by the blower motor resistor. The blower motor is placed in the air stream so that it receives cooling air as it puts out the volts that power the blower motor.
