BMW 745i Replacement Belts Information
The BMW 745i is a luxury sedan that belongs to the famous 7 Series. This series of cars has been in continuous production since 1977. Cars in this series use internal combustion engines that rely on a few key belts to operate properly. The two main belts used in the 745i are the serpentine belt and the timing belt. On some cars BMW uses timing chains instead of timing belts because they accomplish the same function but can last longer. The timing belt regulates when the engine valves are moved at specific intervals depending on the type of engine used. The serpentine belt is responsible for providing power to the alternator, air conditioning system, and other electrical components of the car. The belts are made of tough rubber but they can loosen or break over time and use. Replacement belts for the BMW 745i are available online through Parts Geek.
