Honda Insight Replacement Air Fuel Ratio Sensor Information
The air-fuel ratio sensor, also called the AFR sensor, has the ability to detect air / fuel ratios over a wider range of driving conditions. This device sends information to your car's computer, which adjusts the air / fuel mixture accordingly. It also monitors the amount of oxygen entering your car's engine cylinders. The most important benefit of having this sensor is that the engine control module can more accurately meter the fuel, which helps reduce emissions. The air-fuel ratio sensor is slowly replacing the Zirconium oxygen sensor in modern cars. With this device, your car will run at peak performance without causing excessive pollution. The air-fuel ratio sensor can be found on most vehicles manufactured after 1980. This component maximizes the catalytic converter's life and improves fuel economy. It also allows the engine to burn fuel more efficiently and increases the performance of your car.
