Mercedes 300D Replacement AC Receiver Drier Information
Your Mercedes 300D's AC receiver drier is part of the vehicle's air conditioning system. Its function is to remove water from the chilled coolant that comes from the AC condenser before that liquid flows into the AC evaporator. Since the liquid is now at 32 degrees Fahrenheit, water in the coolant will form ice crystals, which could potentially damage your air conditioning system.
