Volkswagen Beetle Replacement AC Expansion Valve Information
Located at the AC evaporator inlet tube, the Beetle Volkswagen AC expansion valve regulates the refrigerant flow into the evaporator. If the Beetle Volkswagen AC expansion valve lets in too much refrigerant, the evaporator can flood. Too little, the evaporator performance drops and the unit may ice over the aluminum tubes. A sensing bulb inside the evaporator fin tells the expansion valve when to open and close depending on changes in evaporator temperatures. While made strong, valves can fail. It should be checked if problems occur in the AC cooling system.
