Mercedes S430 Replacement AC Condenser Information
Your Mercedes S430's AC condenser functions like a radiator. Highly pressurized gaseous refrigerant enters the AC condenser from the AC compressor and travels through a system of tiny tubules, cooling as it comes into contact with the air, until finally it emerges as a liquid at 32 degrees Fahrenheit. From your AC condenser, the refrigerant travels to the AC receiver drier where all H2O is removed. This is important because water freezes at32 degrees Fahrenheit, and ice crystals could damage your air conditioning system. From the AC receiver drier, the refrigerant travels to the AC evaporator located behind the dashboard in the passenger compartment of your car. Here, the refrigerant undergoes one more phase change back into gas. The cool refrigerant gas then reduces temperature of the warm air in your passenger compartment through the process of conduction.
