Jaguar XK8 Replacement AC Compressor Information
The AC compressor is a pump that's driven by the serpentine engine belt that drives your Jaguar XK8's alternator and power steering system. When you turn your vehicle's air conditioning system on, refrigerant enters the AC compressor as vapor. The pump pushes this gas under a high degree of pressure out into the AC condenser where it's transformed into a liquid with a temperature of 32degrees Fahrenheit.
