A Sachs Shock Absorber is designed for Mercedes 500SLs of model years 1990, 1991, 1992 and 1993. Shocks are separated into two fundamental types: spring-based shocks which utilize metal leaf springs, and torsion-based shock absorbers which contain a torsion spring. Good Shock Absorbers dissipate energy caused by dips on the street to offer a more comfortable ride. Mercedes 500SLs from 1990, 1991, 1992 and 1993 will work with this Shock Absorber. Other cars or trucks are unlikely to be compatible, so this Shock Absorber is not designed to be installed on those models.
