Trunk Strut Reviews - 2006 Ford Five Hundred

You never think about what keeps your trunk open, until it fails. I was so busy all I had time to do for two months was cut a piece of tubing to prop my trunk open as I traveled. Until I couldn't take it anymore and sat down to search the part. Found it on Part's Geek, ordered it and installed it within 10 minutes of it's arrival. Great job Part's Geek!!

My old trunk struts were failing, the trunk lid would no longer stay up and the lump on my head reminded me it was time to replade the old struts.

I was worried that removal of the old struts and installation of the new struts would be difficult. Removal was easy, I just had lift clips on the end of the old struts with a screw driver. Replacement was even easier, I just had to push the new strut ends into place.

Great design and fast delivery
