Notes: The OE strut mounts with a ball stud at the bottom and a bracket at the top. Our Stabilus replacement strut uses a ball stud at each end. When installing the new ball stud (included with the Stabilus strut) in place of the original bracket, be sure to use the outermost of the two holes formerly used to retain the old bracket to the tailgate. If the innermost bracket hole is used instead, the Stabilus strut cannot fully collapse, and the tailgate may not close properly.
