Mercedes Aftermarket Parts
Are you looking for Mercedes aftermarket parts as a cheaper alternative to OEM? PartsGeek.com is the first place you should visit. Not only do we offer Mercedes wheels and other aftermarket Mercedes parts at the lowest prices available, we also make certain that every aftermarket component we sell is equal or superior to its OEM equivalent before we add it to our inventory...and back this up with a one-year guarantee.
Now, you may be hesitant to use anything other than original factory Mercedes parts. Aftermarket parts seem to have a reputation for not being quite as good as their OEM equivalent. This perception is based to a large extent on the fact that Mercedes aftermarket parts are priced lower – often much lower – than OEM components.
It's hardly justified, however. In fact, you may be surprised to know that by purchasing Mercedes parts aftermarket rather than OEM, you often wind up with a part that is better than the original. What happens is that when a manufacturer decides to come up with its own version of an OEM part, it will have the original "reverse-engineered" – meaning that it is disassembled and analyzed thoroughly. During this process, there may be flaws discovered in the original design – or things about it that can be improved upon. The result is often a better component – that you can purchase at a lower price.
One other concern that people have is whether or not using aftermarket components will void the warranty. Unless you have a newer vehicle, this is usually not a concern; as long as the aftermarket part in question is being used as a direct replacement for one that is no longer functioning (for example, if your OEM alternator bites the dust and is replaced with an aftermarket one), then you're safe. One the other hand, if you replace the stock exhaust system with say, a custom one from Magnaflow designed to improve performance, you may run into warranty issues. If your car is still under warranty, it's a good idea to ask the dealer before making any performance modifications to the engine, drive-train, suspension or exhaust system (adding minor cosmetic accessories such as hub caps, custom wheels and the like do not necessarily affect the warranty, however). Our company was founded in 1996, and we moved onto the World Wide Web six years later. Since 2002, PartsGeek.com has been the leading discount retailer of Mercedes wheels and accessories as well as performance parts and body components. Furthermore, we make every effort to have your order shipped to you within twenty-four hours, and offer overnight and two-day shipping.
