BMW Aftermarket Parts
Whether you need BMW Aftermarket Parts or OEM, PartsGeek.com has terrific deals. The Great Debate among auto buffs, auto repair people and auto insurers has to do with whether or not one should use only Original Equipment Manufacturer parts (OEM) or if it's okay to use aftermarket parts. Our people at PartsGeek are asked about this frequently, but unfortunately, the answer is not cut and dried. One thing you can be certain of however: PartsGeek will not sell any OEM or aftermarket BMW parts that do not meet the highest quality standards – including BMW wheels, engine components, exhaust systems or anything else.
When buying BMW parts aftermarket, many hard-core BMW fans are hesitant to use BMW aftermarket parts – despite the fact that they could save quite a bit by doing so (as you know, OEM BMW parts are not cheap – though you can certainly get them for less through PartsGeek). This is either because they believe such aftermarket parts to be of inferior quality, or they are concerned that using them will void their vehicle's warranty. Let us set your mind at ease on both counts.
In many cases, aftermarket parts are actually better than their OEM counterparts. For example, when it comes to BWM parts, aftermarket company personnel will "reverse-engineer" the component – meaning they take it apart and analyze it carefully. When this happens, some flaws are often discovered in the original; the aftermarket engineers then have the opportunity to improve upon the original design. This is not always the case, but it often happens that way. (By the way, if you do receive a part from us that isn't up to snuff, you're covered by a one-year warranty in addition to any warranty the manufacturer may offer.)
You should also know that if the aftermarket part in question is being used as a direct replacement (that is to say, you're replacing a stock part with its equivalent), it will not void any warranty that may still be on the vehicle. On the other hand, if you are replacing a stock component with one that modifies your vehicle's performance and the car is still under warranty, you may wind up voiding the warranty: in this case, it's a good idea to contact the dealer before making any such modifications.
PartsGeek.com has been around since 1996 and on the World Wide Web since 2002. Over the past decade, we have become the leading Internet resource for BMW wheels, body components, engine and drive train parts and more. Because ours is a volume business, we are able to offer wholesale pricing to the general public – and because we stand behind our products and pricing, you can rest assured that you are paying the lowest cost for the best quality.
I love Partsgeek products because they are guaranteed to deliver what is advertised on their website. I bought this gasket for my power steering reservoir because the old one did not seal properly anymore and since then I have not spotted a single leak out of the power steering reservoir in my 3Series. Thank you ParstGeek!!
Parts Geek took good care of me on this one. Exactly right parts arrived in a timely manner.
