1983 through 1991 Porsche 944s may use this reference sensor from Bosch. A reference sensor is used by the vehicle to determine the rate of fuel injection to optimize performance. The reference sensor measures the engine's turning. This Bosch reference sensor has a rectangular plug connector. It should only be installed on Porsche 944 cars made between 1983 and 1991. It may not be compatible with other vehicle makes and models, especially since many other cars do not use reference sensors.
