A replacement for a clogged, corroded, or broken original part, the 1997-2001 Ford Explorer Fuel Filler Neck is suitable for Sport, Limited, XLT, Eddie Bauer, XL, XLS, XL Fleet, and Postal sub-models of the vehicle series. Supplied 4.0 or 5.0 liter V6 or V8 engines are supported depending on the vehicle model. The newly built fuel filler neck ensures adequate delivery of fuel to the gas tank, as it connects at the interior gas cap to the tank, runs on the underside of the car, and ends at the engine. Rust and holes can form on a fuel filler neck over time, causing gas to leak which can be a risk for explosions if not for reducing the car's gas mileage.
