This Iwis Timing Chain can be installed on Mercedes 300SDs from 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984 and 1985. Installing a new Timing Chain will avoid damage and help to avoid serious repair bills. Several vehicles, and especially those built recently, may use a Timing Chain for engine timing as opposed to a standard timing belt. Mercedes 300SDs from model years '78, '79, '80, '81, '82, '83, '84 and '85 can use this Timing Chain. Other vehicles probably will not be compatible, and this part should not be used on those vehicles.
